The [FDA’s New Era of Smarter Food Safety](https://www.fda.gov/food/new-era-smarter-food-safety) represents a new approach to food safety, leveraging technology and other tools to create a safer, more digital, traceable food system. Hear from Kari Irvin, CORE Deputy Director, how FDA programs, such as the [Foodborne Outbreak Response Improvement Plan (FORIP)](https://www.fda.gov/food/new-era-smarter-food-safety/new-era-smarter-food-safety-fdas-foodborne-outbreak-response-improvement-plan), complements this approach to address these challenges and learn how industry partners are critical stakeholders in these initiatives.
