Whole Foods Market receives a well-deserved, prestigious award because of its commitment to food safety and customer trust.
Every year, FMI, The Food Industry Association, in conjunction with the International Food Protection Training Institute (IFPTI), recognizes a company for its commitment to advancing food protection through performance, practice, creation, sustainability, and leadership. This year’s FMI Food Safety Innovation Award goes to FoodLogiQ’s longtime partner, Whole Foods Market.
Jeff Edelen, Vice President, Retail Food Safety at Whole Foods Market, recently shared with FMI that “Whole Foods Market prioritizes food safety, and it’s a big part of our culture.” Whole Foods Market has been a trailblazer by leveraging technology to advance that culture.
One of its food safety technology investments includes utilizing the entire platform of FoodLogiQ Connect. Whole Foods Market uses FoodLogiQ Connect’s Recall + Response as a standard for continuous quality control for food traceability as part of its food safety system. With real-time analytics, Recall + Response provides Whole Foods Market with the tools needed to decrease store response times drastically during an active recall.
By using FoodLogiQ Connect’s Manage + Monitor, Whole Foods Market ensures that stores comply with the corporate food safety and quality processes to keep consumers safe. Victoria Goss, Team Leader, Project Management of the Food Safety Process Improvement Team at Whole Foods Market, shares that “We really enjoy working on projects with FoodLogiQ; they have been equally as agile when our plans have to change; they are flexible, supportive, thoughtful, and responsive.” She continues, “A big part of what makes Whole Foods different is our quality standards and our quest to push the grocery industry forward. FoodLogiQ helps us do that every day.”
Congratulations to Whole Foods Market for this accolade, and we are grateful for the partnership.
