This accomplishment is a significant milestone that reflects the impact of tech-enabled traceability, transparency and interoperability throughout a digitized supply chain. Additionally, it showcases the achievements of our customers’ diligence in [establishing distinguished traceability programs](https://info.foodlogiq.com/on-demand-preparing-for-the-proposed-fsma-204-rule-with-chick-fil-a?hsLang=en), as well as the ongoing collaboration and partnership that continues to support their efforts. Over the past year, the number of Critical Tracking Events hosted within FoodLogiQ Connect has doubled, increasing from [approximately 50 million CTEs](https://blog.foodlogiq.com/50-million-critical-tracking-events?hsLang=en) at the end of 2020. Throughout 2021, FoodLogiQ has partnered with [many more food brands](https://www.foodlogiq.com/customers/) in modernizing their supply chains, the impacts of which are directly reflected in the Connect platform. To date, Connect supports approximately 114,000 brand and supplier locations, including nearly 32,000 international supplier locations across a vast 134 countries. Thousands of suppliers already onboarded and collaborating within Connect have shared over 334,000 documents, participated in approximately 40,000 automated workflows, and aided in the resolution of over 1 million quality incidents. The capture and support of more than 100 million CTEs would not have been possible without the hard work of the thousands of suppliers, distributors and partnering food brands collaborating within Connect. Collectively, their efforts have been integral in supporting, linking, and resolving issues within a connected food supply chain and understanding the movement of products throughout it. Leading brands like [sweetgreen](https://blog.foodlogiq.com/with-a-commitment-to-traceability-transparency-and-social-responsibility-sweetgreen-has-the-magic-recipe-for-success?hsLang=en) and [Chipotle Mexican Grill](https://blog.foodlogiq.com/chipotle-mexican-grill-getting-started-with-traceability?hsLang=en) have leveraged FoodLogiQ’s Track + Trace solution to build tech-enabled traceability programs and enhance safety and visibility within their supply chain. It helps ensure that we can research and act on food safety and quality concerns quickly, thoroughly, and know where particular ingredients are at a given time, as well as where they have been.” FoodLogiQ’s achievement comes at a pivotal time when the industry is preparing to introduce proposed traceability regulation known as the [Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) section 204 rule](https://blog.foodlogiq.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-the-fdas-new-proposed-traceability-rule?hsLang=en). With [less than a year until rule finalization](https://blog.foodlogiq.com/preparing-for-the-proposed-fsma-204-rules-finalization?hsLang=en), it’s critical for food businesses and supply chain partners to understand what steps are necessary to ensure readiness now and where to focus efforts moving forward. The pending traceability rule enhancements are set to lay a foundation for standardized data elements that need to be captured and recorded at various [Critical Tracking Events](https://blog.foodlogiq.com/understanding-critical-tracking-events?hsLang=en), from growing to shipping, transforming, receiving and more. Additionally, the proposed FSMA section 204 rule forms part of the [FDA’s New Era of Smarter Food Safety initiative](https://blog.foodlogiq.com/the-new-era-of-smarter-food-safety-blueprint?hsLang=en), geared towards advancing modern, technology-driven approaches to food safety leadership. “With enhanced, technology-driven data management and automation, we can greatly increase the amount of data about the supply chain, action food safety issues quicker and with more precision, reduce food waste and build more transparency between trading partners and end consumers,” said [FoodLogiQ Vice President of Supply Chain Strategy and Insights Julie McGill](https://www.foodlogiq.com/leadership/julie-mcgill/).
