FoodLogiQ Q2 2025 Release: New Tools to Enable Traceability, Supplier Relationships, and Product Specifications

The latest FoodLogiQ release brings targeted improvements to traceability, supplier management, product specification collaboration, and oversight tools—designed to help food companies work faster and smarter. These updates simplify everyday tasks and support greater visibility across your supply chain in an evolving industry.

Here’s a closer look at what’s new in this release.

Smarter Specification Variance Reviews for Faster Decisions

Managing variance requests is a routine, yet critical part of product development and go-to-market in the food industry. But too often, it's slowed down by scattered data and a lack of context shared across different systems.

With this release, FoodLogiQ introduces a streamlined process for reviewing and acting on variance requests, bringing consistency across comparison, history, and review modals. The updated interface makes it easier to see exactly what changed, understand the impact, and take action confidently without the extra effort of toggling between screens.

The result? Less time spent piecing together information, fewer redundant steps, and clearer collaboration between locations and Community Owners as product specifications evolve.

Improve Traceability Data Quality Across Your Supply Chain

Even though the FDA has announced its intent to delay the FSMA 204 compliance deadline until July of 2028 , industry momentum toward a more traceable supply chain hasn’t slowed. If anything, it’s accelerating.

Retailers, manufacturers, and trading partners continue to invest in traceability infrastructure—.  Recalls, disruptions, and consumer expectations won’t wait for a deadline. And neither should your digital readiness.

To support this shift, FoodLogiQ now allows .csv uploads for all remaining traceability event types, including:

    • Harvesting (Agriculture, Aquaculture, Wild-Caught)
    • Cooling
    • Packing
    • Landing

This completes full Critical Tracking Event (CTE) coverage, allowing you to upload .csv data for any of the event types required for FSMA 204 compliance.

We’ve also removed the need to include optional fields. That means you can focus on only required fields, speeding up data uploads, lowering the risk of formatting errors, and making traceability data from external systems easier to manage when importing into FoodLogiQ.

Whether you're refining your current program or just starting to build toward traceability maturity, this update supports cleaner data and better visibility across your supply chain.

    Introducing the Traceability Operator Dashboard

Targeted Data Access for Your Supply Chain Partners

Under FSMA 204, even partners with limited visibility into the broader supply chain must be able to access and share Critical Tracking Event (CTE) data—specifically, one step forward and one step back. The Operator Dashboard was built to support exactly that.

This new read-only interface gives operators secure access to their own CTE-related data, without exposing broader records or requiring editing capabilities. It’s designed to help partners participate in traceability efforts with clarity and ease, especially in the context of FDA investigations or retailer requests.

Beyond data access, the dashboard includes curated resources to support traceability alignment, including FSMA 204 compliance guides, an RSS feed for live updates from the FDA website, and a library of resources from Trustwell experts on building connected, resilient supply chains.

The Traceability Operator Dashboard is a focused experience that supports accountability and FSMA 204 compliance for your supply chain partners without compromising the rigorous data security and access controls for which Trustwell is known. For brands working to bring their partners into a traceability-ready network, the Operator Dashboard is a meaningful step forward.

Greater Control in Supplier and Location Management

Alongside partner-facing updates, this release also delivers new flexibility for internal teams managing supplier relationships and location data.

FoodLogiQ users can now activate or inactivate supplier assets in bulk, with the option to update the supplier’s business record alone or cascade changes to associated assets including Documents, Locations, and Assessments. This gives teams greater precision in how they manage supplier lifecycle status, especially across large or complex networks.

We’ve also refined the “Locations Shared with Me” interface, adding distinct tabs for Supplier Locations and Ship-To Locations.

Both updates reflect Trustwell’s continued investment in making data management more scalable, consistent, and aligned with how real food companies operate.

Looking Ahead to Meet What’s Next

These enhancements are part of Trustwell’s broader investment in delivering the integrated, user-focused platform the industry needs now. As food companies move toward more connected systems and shared standards, digital supply chain management tools must continue to surface key data to support better decisions and reduce operational drag, evolving in partnership with their users.
