Over the past few years, Trustwell has transformed. What began as two distinct platforms, Genesis Foods and FoodLogiQ, has grown into a connected suite of solutions that supports the food industry from recipe to recall. Along the way, we’ve worked with our customers to solve real-world challenges, respond to changing regulations, and build tools that create visibility and confidence across the supply chain.
As the food industry faces greater complexity, our focus remains the same: helping our partners operate with more clarity, control, and connection. The last year has brought new demands around labeling, traceability, supplier engagement, and data quality, and Trustwell has responded with targeted innovation. This session is a chance to look back at that progress and share what’s ahead for our products, our platform, and the industry we serve.
As Virtual reCONNECT 2025 comes to a close, we’re ending on a forward-looking note with our session showcase, Trustwell Connect: How Far We've Come.
In this session, Julie McGill, Vice President of Supply Chain Strategy and Insights, sits down with Trustwell’s Chief Product Officer, Todd Dolinsky, to share where we started, how far we've come, and where we’re headed next.
Todd has played a central role in shaping the vision of the Trustwell platform since the merger of Genesis and FoodLogiQ.
During this conversation, he reflects on how we’ve unified our offerings, what new capabilities have already launched in 2025, and what you can expect in the months ahead.
You’ll hear how FoodLogiQ Product Management has brought together key workflows across specifications, suppliers, and product data — providing a more collaborative and connected experience across teams. You’ll also learn how recent product updates are helping customers respond to global labeling requirements, streamline specification management, and increase accuracy in both compliance and daily operations.
Hands-on Demo: Tour FoodLogiQ Product Management
Key updates discussed in this session include:
- Enhanced labeling features in Genesis Foods, including support for the UK HFSS Score Report and Canada Aggregate Label Formats
- Custom units of measure and advanced search functionality to make work easier and more flexible
- AI-powered product uploads in FoodLogiQ, which allow users to convert unstructured spec sheets into structured product data
- Supplier collaboration tools that support spec building and product development across co-manufacturers
- Data validation and Excel-friendly upgrades that simplify compliance workflows
This session also offers a glimpse into the near-term roadmap. Todd highlights features coming soon, such as comparison reports, cross-platform integrations, and further AI-enabled workflows. These enhancements are being built with direct input from customers and designed to support emerging needs across labeling, compliance, risk management, and supplier collaboration.
Another focus of this session is the growing adoption of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technologies. Julie and Todd explore how 2D barcodes, RFID, and IoT tools are improving real-time traceability and digital transparency across the food chain. This evolution is helping companies modernize processes and stay ahead of both customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Looking even further ahead, Todd shares how Trustwell is embedding AI more deeply into its platform—connecting supply chain data across teams, identifying risks earlier, and helping users make smarter, faster decisions. From labeling to quality to sourcing, AI is becoming a foundational part of how the food industry works, and Trustwell is investing in the capabilities that will support that transformation.
