FoodLogiQ Q3 2025 Release: Smarter Specification Workflows, Integrated Nutrition Data, and Stronger Quality Controls

Trustwell’s Q3 2025 release of FoodLogiQ introduces a set of focused enhancements designed to make product data management, quality tracking, and supplier collaboration more efficient. These updates reflect our continued commitment to helping food companies improve traceability, transparency, and operational control, from product creation to incident resolution.

Here’s a closer look at what’s new in this release.

    AI-Powered Product Uploads

Creating new product records is now faster and more accurate with AI-powered product uploads.

25q3flq-aipoweredproductsInstead of entering data manually, users can upload a PDF or spreadsheet when creating a product in FoodLogiQ. The platform automatically reads and extracts standard attributes such as product name, size, and pack details, and populates them into the new record. The uploaded document is also stored and linked in Documents automatically, eliminating duplicate uploads and saving setup time.

This capability benefits both suppliers and Community Owners. Suppliers can quickly build product records from their own spec sheets, while Community Owners can use the same feature to upload products on behalf of their network.25q3flq-aipoweredproducts2

Collaborative Specifications and Genesis Foods Integration

FoodLogiQ Product Management now supports a richer, more collaborative approach to specification management. Users can send a blank specification to a supplier location, allowing the recipient to complete and return it as a variance request. Once responses are reviewed, the Community Owner can merge updates from multiple locations into a single parent specification. This approach simplifies how teams gather formulation data across co-manufacturers or regional plants, maintaining one source of truth while capturing real-world differences.

25q3flq-createingredientingenesis2Specifications now also include a direct connection to Genesis Foods. From a parent specification in FoodLogiQ, users can create an ingredient in Genesis Foods with a single click. The new ingredient is created in draft v1 status, and while it remains in that state, the systems automatically sync every 10 minutes. The data sync is one-way from Genesis Foods to FoodLogiQ, ensuring that nutrient data stays consistent and Genesis Foods remains the single source of truth for your organization's nutrient data.

25q3flq-createingredientingenesisIn practice, this means a brand owner can request a specification from a manufacturing partner, gather and reconcile all necessary data, and then push that data directly to Genesis Foods for labeling, all without manual re-entry or duplicated effort.

    Usage Improvements Across the Platform

The Q3 release also introduces several practical updates that improve daily workflows for administrators, quality teams, and auditors.

Within Audits & Assessments, users can now paste data directly into Product Evaluation Tables. This eliminates the need to retype information from Excel, allowing teams to copy and paste entire rows of product data in seconds. The feature is particularly useful for supplier evaluations, where data often originates in spreadsheets, and helps standardize how results are imported and reviewed.

25q3flq-allowable rangesIn FoodLogiQ Quality Management, Community Owners can now define allowable ranges for numeric and date attributes in incident templates. If a user attempts to submit a value outside of those parameters. For example, a quantity exceeding expected shipment volume or a date that falls outside a valid shelf-life window; the system prevents submission until the entry meets the specified criteria. This capability helps maintain cleaner data and minimizes the need for follow-up corrections. It’s currently available in the new Incidents experience and will extend to the FoodLogiQ mobile app with version 2.15.

Administrators also gain new flexibility with role-based API tokens. API tokens can now be generated directly in the Administration area and tied to specific roles and permissions. This allows integrations to operate with precisely scoped access. The result is faster setup for technical teams and greater security for enterprise data connections, all without engineering intervention.

Together, these usability enhancements reduce manual work, cut down on data errors, and give every FoodLogiQ user (from QA specialists to IT administrators) more control over their daily operations.

Looking Ahead to Meet What’s Next

The FoodLogiQ Q3 2025 release continues to strengthen Trustwell’s connected platform by aligning product specification management, incident tracking, and data integration into a unified system. Whether through AI-assisted product creation, synchronized nutritional data with Genesis Foods, or more structured quality controls, these updates help teams spend less time managing data and more time maintaining safety and quality.
