FoodLogiQ Q4 2025 Release: Stronger Foundations for Product Data, Specifications, and Traceability

The Q4 2025 FoodLogiQ release continues our focus on making product, supplier, and traceability data easier to manage and more useful across the Trustwell platform. This release introduces targeted updates across the FoodLogiQ suite of solutions which give teams greater control over how critical information is captured and managed while strengthening how FoodLogiQ works alongside Genesis Foods as part of the Trustwell Connect platform.

A New Role for Products in FoodLogiQ

NVT1Historically, Products in FoodLogiQ have served as a central hub for supplier and product information. With the Q4 release, Products can now play an expanded role across the Trustwell Connect platform.

FoodLogiQ now includes the Nutrient Value Table as a standard product attribute. Once added to a product type, teams can directly manage nutritional values within FoodLogiQ, creating a richer, more structured product record that goes beyond basic specifications.

And even more importantly, products that include at least one Genesis Foods–recognized attribute can now be used to create Ingredients in Genesis Foods. These attributes include Allergen StatementsDiet Type(s), and Nutrient Value Tables.

PGF3This means teams managing Ingredients in Genesis Foods can now initiate that work directly from a FoodLogiQ Product, using existing product data as the starting point. This capability represents more than a new integration point between the two flagship products within the Trustwell Connect platform. It reduces duplicate work, shortens the path from product data to formulation, and helps teams maintain consistency across systems that are often managed by different roles. Supplier, quality, and product teams can continue managing product data in FoodLogiQ, while R&D and formulation teams work in Genesis Foods, confident that key nutritional, allergen, and diet information stays aligned during the handoff.

    More Powerful Customizations for Specifications

Specifications are a critical touchpoint between brands and suppliers, and the Q4 release adds new tools to make them clearer and more adaptable. Specification Templates now support custom Categories for Custom Attributes, giving teams more flexibility in how information is organized and presented.

custom tableCategory Descriptions can also be enabled at the template level. These descriptions are editable on parent specifications and visible on child specifications, helping suppliers understand expectations without adding extra documentation or manual follow-up.

In addition, FoodLogiQ now supports Custom Tables as a Custom Attribute. Teams can create tables with up to seven columns, define column data types such as text, whole number, or yes/no, and specify whether values are required or eligible for a variance request. This allows organizations to capture structured, repeatable data that better reflects real-world requirements, without forcing information into less effective formats.

Expanded Event Data for Tech-Enabled Traceability

Accurate traceability depends on capturing the right details at each step. In Q4, FoodLogiQ Traceability adds Cooling and Receiving Dates to all product types. These additional data points help create more complete event records and support better visibility into how products move and are handled across the supply chain.

traceability new event typesAs companies continue to invest in traceability for risk management, operational insight, and regulatory readiness, having consistent and meaningful event data remains essential.

Looking Ahead to Meet What’s Next

The Q4 2025 FoodLogiQ release reflects Trustwell’s continued focus on practical improvements that make everyday work easier and data more reliable. From stronger data requirements and richer specifications to tighter alignment with Genesis Foods, these updates support teams managing complex product information across the supply chain.
